Turisme Rural

The village of Gotarta is situated at 1,195 metres between
the ravines of Raons and Fuente Vieja, surrounded
by small agricultural villages.
This village had 300 inhabitants in 1970 and this fell
to only 6 in 1981 and it was inhabited by only one person
for more than 15 years in a state of abandonment.
From the year 2001 it started to slowly repopulate, and
now has 4 families who are permanent residents and
up to 9 families in the holiday seasons.
This municipality belonged to the men of Erill Castell,
a small medieval village situated on the crest of a mountain with all of its defensive elements currently abandoned.
It can be seen from many points of Gotarta. It also belonged to the monastery of Lavaix.
The small church is dedicated to Santa Cecilia.
It can be found by taking the main road in El Pont de Suert
and going up 4,8km. It is 12km from the Boi Valley.
Casa Vilapasa dates back to 1887.
It was a house dedicated to agriculture.
It has been inhabited by grandparents, parents and children since 1963. Later they spent the summer holidays there.
The renovation started in 2006.
The points of interest of the house have been kept in their original state; the bread oven, the pantry and wine cellar
and the first floor of the house where the peat fire can be found. The threshing ground where
the animals were kept
and where the hunting was done has also been conserved.
On the first floor you have the reception room, the peat fire,
the living room with TV and outside terrace with views,
where you can have breakfast and dinner weather permitting.
The second floor has three double bedrooms with bathroom and views and a triple room with
two separate
bedrooms with shared bathroom, with a connection for the TV.
You can also enjoy the threshing floor next to the church to relax, read or rest.
The kitchen is completely adorned with regional products.
